Art Martial
Christopher Macom aka Art Martial was born in Michigan where he was exposed to martial arts at a young age by his father, Master Terry Macom. Their style, Misonokokoro, is a combination of many styles with eastern philosophy at its core. During the cultivation of his skills, Art learned to apply what he learned from martial arts into every aspect of his life including music. While being exposed to the Detroit rave scene at a young age, Art found that Techno and House music were the best vehicles to reach people because they are not influenced by consumerism. A similarity realized by Art was that meditation and music both create vibrations within the body that aid in the attainment of secret knowledge. With the combination of this knowledge, meditation, and music, he realizes one can eliminate suffering and attain enlightenment. Art understands that the unifying effects of his music are now being illustrated through the advancements in quantum physics and string theory. With the help of universal energy, Art has answered his calling to relieve suffering from cyclic existence through music. His style might be categorized as House, Techno, or Tech-House but if you ask him what he spins he'll say, Misonokokoro.
